because sometimes I talk about RL people and RL stuff, and it could lead to awkward conversations

and I generally try to avoid awkward conversations

I don't want Sol to break up with me because of my stupid phobias and social anxiety. I hate this.

Sol went on a roadtrip this past week to look at colleges. His top choice right now is McGill, in Montreal. Which is great for him, and he seems so enamored with the school, but it's just so faraway and it makes me so scared for the future.

Meanwhile, I've been panicking about my own college plans, and how I have no idea what I want to do with my life. After a frightening 12 hour mindgame of deciding whether I should try and do an internal transfer to Cornell's CALS school, I've decided I might want to become a book editor, or somehow involved in the publishing process. Considering double majoring in english and information science.

Life is coming at me so quick.

In Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy there's a machine that shows you exactly how small you are in the grand scheme of things. Shows your tiny, insignificant speck of existence in comparison to the entire universe. It makes people to insane.

I don't need that machine.

I feel insignificant all the time.

What can I do? What can I matter? I'm not particularly good at anything, I haven't changed anything. I've never seriously contemplated suicide, but I've played the 'what if' game. If I was gone tomorrow, who would be affected? The world would keep spinning, people would get over it in months or years.

I miss feeling important.
